How I work

Patiently, and to completion. Twenty years of supporting non-technical people taught me that most "software problems" are explanation problems, and that the fix isn't finished until the user understands it and the documentation reflects it. I read before I change, reproduce before I fix, and I don't break production. Colleagues would tell you I'm calm on a bad day — that habit was earned in environments where there was no one to escalate to.

Why the United States, and why now

I built my career in Southern Africa — an environment that teaches resourcefulness, ownership, and how to make systems work under real constraints. In 2026 I sold the business I had built and moved permanently to Los Angeles. I'm work-authorized with no sponsorship required. And I made a deliberate choice about how to enter the US market: start with roles I can be excellent at from day one — implementation, application support, hands-on development — and let the US track record accumulate honestly. What I'm looking for

Implementation / solutions engineering, application support, or PHP/SQL development — onsite in greater Los Angeles, hybrid, or remote. Organizations where software meets real operations (and where a person who can talk to both the database and the front desk is useful) get the best of me.
